2nd International Workshop on

16 - 18 March 2021

online (recordings available!)

This workshop is part of the EU FET‐OPEN project Plasmon Enhanced Terahertz Electron Paramagnetic Resonance . It aims at reporting principles and achievements of the project and bringing together researchers from the fields of Electron Paramagnetic Resonance (EPR), plasmonics and Scanning Probe Microscopy (SPM).

The PETER project aims to develop a radically novel method for the local analysis of paramagnetic organic and inorganic species and materials with significantly enhanced sensitivity and unprecedented spatial resolution. Specifically, novel hardware and infrastructure based on the ground‐ breaking application of THz plasmonic antennas on surfaces (spectroscopy) and scanning probe tips (microscopy) is being developed, resulting in a strong local enhancement of the magnetic sensing field.

Invited speakers:

  • Prof. Christian Degen (Laboratorium für Festkörperphysik, ETH Zurich)
  • Prof. Tobias Kampfrath (Terahertz Physics Group, Fritz Haber Institute, Berlin)
  • Dr. Sergei Zvyagin (Dresden High Magnetic Field Laboratory, Helmholtz Zentrum, Dresden Rossendorf)
  • Dr. Alexander Schnegg (Department Spins in Energy Conversion and Quantum Information Science, Helmholtz Zentrum, Berlin)
  • Dr. Magnus Jonsson (Organic Photonics and Nano‐Optics group, Linköping University).
  • Dr. Alexander A. Govyadinov (Neaspec GmbH, Munich)
